The Protherm Puma Condens 24/28 MKV-AS/2 combines heating and instantaneous hot water in a body only 27 cm deep. Its 28 kW in domestic hot water provides 13.4 l/min with a temperature rise of 30 °C, equivalent to heating water from 10 to 40 °C. It does not require a storage water heater: it produces hot water when the tap is opened.

The primary heat exchanger and the domestic hot water plate heat exchanger are made of stainless steel. The vertical hydraulic connections and the dimensions of 626 x 400 x 270 mm facilitate integration when replacing a boiler, always respecting the clearances and the drainage of the installation. The eBUS electronics support modulating controls and WiFi access through compatible accessories. It is supplied ready for natural gas; the conversion to propane must be carried out by the Technical Service with the corresponding kit.

Can it supply two showers of 8 l/min at the same time?

Not to that consumption and temperature: two showers at 8 l/min require 16 l/min. With an inlet water temperature of 10 °C and an outlet temperature of 40 °C (ΔT 30 °C), this boiler delivers 13.4 l/min. One shower at 8 l/min is within that flow rate; opening another hot water point distributes the available capacity. The flow rate and pressure of the network must also be sufficient.

Does it have an integrated domestic hot water accumulator?

No. It heats the water when the tap is opened, without a reserve domestic hot water tank. Its flow rate is 16.1 l/min at ΔT 25 °C and 13.4 l/min at ΔT 30 °C. The 8 l expansion vessel belongs to the heating system and does not store water for showers.

What improvements does it have compared to the Puma Condens 18/24?

The 24/28 increases the domestic hot water output from 24 to 28 kW and the flow rate from 11.5 to 13.4 l/min at ΔT 30 °C, without increasing the dimensions of the unit. This additional flow rate is not sufficient for two simultaneous showers of 8 l/min each with an inlet water temperature of 10 °C and an outlet temperature of 40 °C.

Does it fit in a cabinet?

The body measures 62.6 x 40 x 27 cm. Allow for clearances, maintenance access, and the space for flue gas discharge and connections as indicated in the manual for the specific installation.

Can it be controlled via WiFi?

Yes, by adding a compatible control and the MiGo Link SR 940f WiFi module. For example, the ThermoLink select connects via eBUS and allows you to program the heating from the MiGo Link app by incorporating the module. The WiFi access requires those accessories; it is not integrated into the boiler.

What gas does it use?

It works with natural gas or propane. The type is II2H3P; it comes prepared for natural gas and the adaptation to propane requires a spare part kit and Technical Service.
