The ecoTEC exclusive VMW 30CF combines 30 kW for domestic hot water with modulating heating from 3.0 to 22.0 kW at 80/60 °C. Its specific flow rate is 14.3 l/min at ΔT 30 K. Micro-accumulation speeds up the response for domestic hot water in a body of 382 mm in depth; the recommendation for two bathrooms does not mean opening all the showers at the same time. With sensoCOMFORT radio and myVaillant. Installation not included. VAT and mainland shipping included.

The VMW 30CF is the lowest heating power option among these three ecoTEC exclusive models. It can reduce its output to 3.0 kW at 80/60 °C and reach 22.0 kW; at 50/30 °C, the range is from 3.4 to 23.9 kW. This allows for consideration of both cold days and periods of low demand, without choosing the boiler solely based on the number of bathrooms.

In domestic hot water, it offers 30.0 kW and 14.3 l/min specific at ΔT 30 K. The commercial figure of 17.2 l/min corresponds to ΔT 25 K, a lower temperature rise. Vaillant targets it for homes with two bathrooms and a kitchen, but two showers of 8 l/min with inlet water at 10 °C and outlet at 40 °C would exceed its specific flow rate in testing.

Its micro-accumulation improves the initial response when opening the tap without representing a large capacity tank. The sanitary limiter is 10.4 l/min and must be distinguished from the specific flow rate and the mixed flow rate of a shower. The result also depends on the inlet pressure and temperature, as well as simultaneous consumption.

With a height of 720 mm, a width of 440 mm, a depth of 382 mm, and a net weight of 41 kg, it shares the same format as the 36CF. The connection for air and exhaust is 60/100 mm. The installation space must allow for front access, lower space, and the upper clearance of the chosen duct; the dimensions of the body are not the same as the installed unit.

What to check before installing this boiler

The choice of equipment does not replace the inspection of the installation by a qualified professional.

  1. Confirm the model and commercial reference, the type of gas, and the supply configuration in the manufacturer's documentation.
  2. Ask a qualified installer to assess the heating and domestic hot water demand; compare measured flow rates at the same temperature difference.
  3. Check dimensions, connections, flue gas evacuation, condensate drainage, and controls compatible with the existing installation.
  4. Confirm the included accessories and the delivery time before scheduling the installation. The online purchase of the equipment does not include installation or commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions: condensing boilers 125834627

Does the ecoTEC exclusive 30CF fit in a 120 m² home?
It can fit if the calculated heat loss is within 3.0-22.0 kW at 80/60 °C. For example, 120 m² with a supposed demand of 80 W/m² would need 9.6 kW; this is not a surface approved by Vaillant. The minimum of 3.0 kW should also be considered when only some rooms are heated. Climate, insulation, ventilation, and emitters determine the actual load; the 30 kW in the name corresponds to domestic hot water, not the maximum heating capacity.
Why is it recommended for two bathrooms if it does not guarantee two simultaneous showers?
The number of bathrooms describes the dwelling, not its simultaneous consumption. Two showers at 8 l/min require 16 l/min at ΔT 30 K if the water enters at 10 °C and is used at 40 °C. The 30CF specifies 14.3 l/min at that temperature difference, which is below the example. Additionally, it incorporates a limiter of 10.4 l/min, different from the test data and the mixed flow rate. The limiter should not be modified in an attempt to reach a commercial figure.
Does the micro-accumulation of the 30CF serve as a reserve to fill a bathtub?
It should not rely on a reserve of tens of liters. Micro-accumulation improves the initial response; during a prolonged filling, the 30.0 kW of domestic hot water and the actual water conditions are delivered. The documentation for this family does not specify an integrated sanitary tank in liters. To fill with less waiting time, it is advisable to compare flow rates at the same temperature and check the water supply, rather than adding a supposed tank capacity.
What space does the 30CF need inside a cabinet?
Its dimensions are 720 x 440 x 382 mm. The manual requires 5 mm on each side, 180 mm below, and 500 mm of front service access. Above, it indicates 165 or 248 mm with 60/100 according to the plan, 220 mm with 80/80, or 276 mm with 80/125. The appliance connection is 60/100 mm; any alternative solution must be authorized. The door and cabinet elements must not obstruct maintenance.
What improvements does the 36CF have over the 30CF without taking up more depth?
The 36CF maintains dimensions of 720 x 440 x 382 mm and weighs 41 kg, but increases heating from 22.0 to 25.0 kW at 80/60 °C and domestic hot water from 30.0 to 36.4 kW. Its specific flow rate at ΔT 30 K rises from 14.3 to 17.4 l/min. Both drop to 3.0 kW in heating. The limiter changes from 10.4 to 11.7 l/min: the improvement in domestic hot water must be verified with the pressure and the consumption points of the house.
How much electricity does the exclusive 30CF consume and what do its kW mean?
The manual states a maximum electrical consumption of 55 W for heating and 73 W for domestic hot water, with less than 2 W in standby. These values do not represent gas consumption or the 30 kW thermal output for domestic hot water. To estimate electrical energy, one must consider the time and mode of operation; multiplying the maximum by all hours of the year does not reflect actual usage. The energy indicators of the equipment are estimates and do not replace the reading of the meter.
