  The radiators are lukewarm in the middle of winter even though the thermostat is continuously calling for heat.

  Cause: The valve is partially diverted towards domestic hot water and does not provide enough flow for heating.

  Bleed the radiators and check the circulation pump before assuming that the problem is the gas valve.

  A small drip comes from underneath the body of the valve, especially after using a lot of domestic hot water.

  Cause: The brass cover and its gaskets deteriorate with the temperature changes from daily use.

  Carefully tighten the screws on the cover and check if the dripping persists before replacing the entire part.

  A metallic rattling noise is heard in the boiler every time a hot water tap is opened.

  Cause: The internal mechanism of the gas valve is worn out and the shutter hits while moving.
