  Check that the silicone tube carrying the pressure from the fan to the gas valve is not cracked, bent, or disconnected.

  The boiler does not ignite and gets locked out during the attempt, although the fan is operating normally.

  Cause: The micro switch of the gas valve does not send the ignition permission signal to the PCB.

  Check that the fan starts and runs steadily before suspecting the gas valve.

  A whistling or vibrating sound can be noticed in the burner area when the boiler is modulating.

  Cause: The stem or diaphragm of the valve is stuck or dirty and does not slide properly.

  Visually check that there is no corrosion or accumulated dirt in the mechanism before replacing the complete part.

  The flame seems to 'breathe', growing and decreasing continuously on its own even though the heating demand is constant.

  Cause: An internal leak in the diaphragm of the gas valve alters the correct ratio between air and gas.
