The Saunier Duval Duomax Condens 35/90 combines heating and a domestic hot water reserve of 89.1 liters in a floor-standing unit. With natural gas, it delivers 5.8-30.0 kW useful at 80/60 °C and 6.6-32.5 kW at 50/30 °C. The stainless steel primary heat exchanger and the ELGA combustion control are part of a solution that allows for the study of both the replacement of an existing unit and an installation with multiple points of consumption.

Its dynamic accumulation provides stored water for peak demand. In continuous operation, it declares 837 l/h at ΔT 35 K; the specific flow rates of 24.6 l/min at 35 K and 28.7 l/min at 30 K correspond to other tests. Separating those figures allows for the assessment of two showers or one bathtub without attributing unlimited capacity to the tank. The 15-liter expansion vessel for heating belongs to another circuit.

The reference 12014602 includes Exacontrol E7 R via radio and a wireless outdoor sensor. Mobile management through MiGo Link requires compatible equipment and regulation, and the domestic hot water recirculation sets are purchased separately. Does the Duomax 35/90 work for a 200 m² house with radiators?

If a loss of 80 W/m² is assumed, 200 m² would require 16 kW, within the 5.8-30.0 kW useful range with natural gas at 80/60 °C. This is an example, not a guaranteed surface area. A house of the same size but with poorer insulation may require more heat, and a small area may fall below the minimum and cause cycling. The professional must calculate the demand and check radiators and flow rate. The 35 in the commercial name does not mean 35 kW of heating: it is up to 30 kW at 80/60 °C and 32.5 kW at 50/30 °C.

Can it maintain two showers of 8 l/min running at the same time?

The tank helps to cover simultaneous consumption, but it does not guarantee unlimited duration. For example, with water entering at 5 °C and showers at 40 °C, the temperature difference is 35 K: the declared continuous flow rate is 837 l/h, equivalent to 13.95 l/min. Two showers at 8 l/min demand 16 l/min and also use the reserve. The 24.6 l/min specific to that same temperature difference and the 28.7 l/min at 30 K are results from different tests, not guaranteed continuous flow rates. The duration depends on the initial load, temperatures, and fixtures; it is not solely derived from the 90 liters in the name.

Does the accumulator have 90 real liters and how long does it take to recover?

The declared capacity is 89.1 liters of domestic hot water; 90 liters is the commercial designation. It is a sanitary reserve integrated with dynamic charging, different from the 15-liter tank of the heating circuit. The manufacturer declares up to 34 kW useful for domestic hot water and 837 l/h continuous at ΔT 35 K, but these values do not alone determine the minutes required to recover a completely cold tank. No recovery time is promised that has not been tested for the initial temperature, set point, and simultaneous consumption of the case.

Does it fit in a space of 60 cm wide and 70 cm deep?

A gap that tight should not be considered valid. The nominal dimensions are 1,320 x 599 x 693 mm, but the installation manual specifies 600 mm in width and 698 mm in depth; the supplied version needs to be checked. Additionally, it requires 600 mm in front and lateral access, with at least 300 mm on one side for maintenance. Space is also reserved for connections and drainage according to the plan. It is a floor-standing unit weighing 111 kg when empty and 205 kg when filled with water: check the floor, access route, and maneuverability before purchasing.

Does it include mobile control and a circulation pump for distant bathrooms?

It includes Exacontrol E7 R via radio and a wireless outdoor sensor. This does not equate to including mobile connectivity: MiGo Link is optional and requires changing the control to MiSet or MiPro Sense. It is prepared for domestic hot water recirculation, useful when studying an installation with distant bathrooms, but recirculation sets with or without a pump are listed as separate accessories. The existence of the accumulator does not create a return network nor does it eliminate waiting in a long pipe by itself.

Can I install this Duomax with a propane tank?

It is supplied for natural gas and can be adapted to propane using the corresponding kit and a qualified professional. It does not come converted and should not be modified without that intervention. With propane, the heating range at 80/60 °C changes to 8.5-30.0 kW, compared to 5.8-30.0 kW with natural gas; the minimum for domestic hot water also increases to 8.5 kW. This difference is significant in low-demand homes. Confirm fuel type, kit, and conversion service before ordering; adaptation is not included simply because it is technically possible.
