The Pure 236 separates two needs: heating the home and producing hot water when the tap is opened. In heating mode, it delivers from 6.5 to 18.5 kW at 80/60 °C, or from 7.2 to 20.2 kW at 50/30 °C. Its minimum output is important in small, well-insulated homes or in closed areas: a lower demand may require on and off cycles.

The domestic hot water output reaches 24.0 kW. The specific flow rate is 11.5 l/min with a temperature rise of 30 K and 9.9 l/min with 35 K. The commercial 13.8 l/min corresponds to 25 K; comparing these figures without their temperature may lead to choosing an insufficient capacity for several taps simultaneously.

The domestic hot water preheating can be deactivated. It improves service readiness, but it should not be counted as a water reserve for two bathrooms. The 8 liters of the expansion vessel belong to the heating circuit, not to a consumption water tank. The primary heat exchanger is made of stainless steel.

It measures 720 x 440 x 338 mm and weighs 30.8 kg when empty. The maximum electrical consumption is 100 W, with 1.6 W in standby, different from its thermal kW. The connection with a mobile device requires a compatible control and the corresponding internet module: integrated WiFi is not assumed, nor that these accessories are part of this offer.

Does the ecoTEC Pure 236 fit in a 100 m² apartment?
It depends on the calculated load, not just the size. For example, 100 m² with assumed losses of 80 W/m² require 8 kW, within their 6.5-18.5 kW at 80/60 °C. If the same floor needed 50 W/m², it would be 5 kW, below the minimum. These are not certified surfaces: insulation, climate, ventilation, and emitters change the result. It is also advisable to check the demand when only some rooms are heated.
Can the Pure 236 maintain two showers at 8 l/min at the same time?
Two showers with that flow rate add up to 16 l/min. With an inlet temperature of 10 °C and usage at 40 °C, the temperature difference is 30 K, which exceeds the specific 11.5 l/min of the 236. The cold water limiter is 12 l/min: this is a different figure from the specific flow rate and should not be removed to force the performance. For that simultaneous demand, it is necessary to consider greater domestic hot water production or accumulation, in addition to network pressure and flow rate.
Is the 8 liters of the Pure 236 a storage tank for hot water?
No. They are the capacity of the heating expansion vessel, whose function is not to store drinking water for showers. The preparation of domestic hot water is through an activatable and deactivatable preheating; the manufacturer does not present those 8 liters as sanitary reserve. In prolonged consumption, they account for the production of 24 kW and the inlet water conditions, not adding a supposed tank volume.
What cabinet does the Pure 236 need in addition to its 338 mm depth?
The body measures 720 x 440 x 338 mm. At least 5 mm must be reserved on each side, 180 mm below, and 500 mm of front access for maintenance, which can be obtained by opening a door. It requires 165 mm above with a 60/100 flue, 275 mm with an 80/125, or 300 mm with an 80/80. The distances of the chosen duct and connections must be checked before closing the cabinet.
What do I gain by switching from Pure 236 to Pure 286?
The 286 increases the maximum heating output from 18.5 to 24.0 kW at 80/60 °C and the specific domestic hot water flow rate from 11.5 to 13.5 l/min at ΔT 30 K. It maintains the dimensions and weight, but its minimum heating output rises from 6.5 to 7.5 kW. More sanitary capacity does not always improve the adaptation to a home with low thermal demand. None reach the example of two showers at 8 l/min at that temperature difference.
Can I control the Pure 236 from my mobile or does it need accessories?
The connection requires a compatible control and an internet module; the boiler alone is not sufficient. The catalog includes VRT 50/2, sensoHOME, or sensoCOMFORT with the myVAILLANT module. The installer must check the specific configuration and compatibility. This offer does not include the content of a SET or any other commercial package, nor is the WiFi module included.
