Symptoms and faults that the GM30-45-004-11 combustion chambers solve.
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
It heats up very quickly and then locks out (F.23/F.24)
Cause: Primary heat exchanger blocked by sludge/deposits or air in the circuit
Measure ΔT supply/return, bleed, check the dirt separator/return filter, and the actual flow rate of the pump.
- 02
Boiling noises (kettling) on demand
Cause: Internal incrustation in the primary coil
Check water hardness, inspect the primary circuit, and assess controlled chemical cleaning.
- 03
Condensate drips or corrosion marks on the casing
Cause: Primary perforation or fatigued joints
Visual inspection of the casing and condensate collector; check the siphon/funnel and tightness.
- 04
Frequent F.22/F.75 lockouts after bleeding.
Cause: Insufficient circulation due to partial blockage of the primary or persistent air.
Repeated bleeding, checking the pressure sensor, and flow testing; if it persists, clean/replace the primary.
- 05
Smell of gas or traces of soot on the casing
Cause: Loss of tightness in the chamber
Check the cover gasket and screws; replace single-use gaskets and perform combustion/leak test.
Fault codes from Vaillant that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.22 | Lack of water or pressure too low in the circuit | Fill up to ~1.5 bar, bleed the system, check for leaks and the pressure sensor. If the issue persists, check circulation and the condition of the primary heat exchanger for possible obstruction. |
| F.23 | Lockout due to excessive temperature difference between supply/return | Complete bleeding, check the pump, filters/deaerator, and flow rate. A dirty or clogged primary can cause an abnormal ΔT; consider cleaning or replacement. |
| F.24 | Safety disconnection due to overheating | Check the opening of valves, circulation, air in the circuit, and the condition of the heat exchanger. If the flow is insufficient due to deposits, clean or replace the primary. |
| F.28 | Flame is not detected during ignition. | Although it is usually associated with gas/ignition, a chamber without tightness or with obstructed condensate drainage can affect combustion. Check the chamber gasket, siphon, and flue gas evacuation. |
| F.75 | Insufficient pressure change when starting the pump | Fill/bleed, check pressure sensor and pump. A hydraulic blockage in the heat exchanger may prevent pressure increase; inspect and clean/replace. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.

- Cut off gas and electrical supply and allow to cool down before intervening.
- Complete bleeding of the heating circuit and the condensate siphon after installation.
- Use new single-use gaskets in the chamber, blower, and condensate collector (e.g., 0020025929).
- Tighten the cross of the chamber cover according to the torque specified in the model manual.
- Gas tightness test and combustion verification after the change (adjust CO₂ if necessary)
- Do not manipulate if you do not have accreditation; risk of gas and CO leakage.
- Do not confirm compatibility based on commercial references: the component's PCB is the authority.
