Fagor Gas Valve FE 24 NOx Ref. MU0809100

Stock · 3 units

The Fagor boilers from the FE series, such as the FE 24 NOX model, use the gas valve that regulates and allows the flow of gas to the burner according to the commands from the control board. If this valve fails, you will notice issues such as the boiler not igniting, flame lockouts, or poor modulation performance. It is compatible with other models in the range, such as the FE 24E and FE 27E, among others. You should replace it if you experience any of these symptoms or the fault codes F1, F6, or F10.

Guide

How to check if ref. MU0809100 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference MU0809100. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the gas valve MU0809100 resolves.

The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler does not ignite on any attempt and no flame appears.

Cause: The valve does not allow gas to flow to the burner even though the PCB orders it.

Check that the gas valve is open and that the inlet pressure is normal before replacing the gas valve.

  • 02

It always heats the same, it doesn't reduce power even if you request a small amount of water.

Cause: The modulation mechanism of the gas valve is stuck and does not respond to the commands from the PCB.

Check if the flame size changes with varying demand; if it doesn't change, the problem is the gas valve and not another component.

  • 03

You notice a gas smell near the boiler, especially if you bring your nose close to the body of the gas valve.

Cause: The internal seals can lose tightness over time and allow some gas to escape when at rest.

If you smell gas, turn off the main valve and ventilate before doing anything else: do not continue using the boiler.

  • 04

It turns on, lasts a few seconds, and then shuts off by itself with a flame fault warning.

Cause: The valve does not maintain the minimum required flow rate and the ionization sensor stops detecting flame, cutting off the gas.

Clean the ionization electrode before replacing the gas valve: a dirty sensor gives exactly the same symptom.

Fault codes for Fagor that this part resolves.

CodeFaultDiagnosis and solution
F1Lockout due to ignition fault (flame not established). The faulty/stuck gas valve may not open or modulate at startup, and insufficient gas may reach for ionization; check voltage in coils during the ignition attempt and pressure/flow in the ramp, ensuring the valve opens.
F6Flame detection with the burner at rest (parasitic flame). If the gas valve does not close hermetically, it allows gas to pass and a residual flame persists; check the valve's closure/sealing when stopped and rule out a false ionization signal.
F10Fault in the control or closure of the gas valve.Fault in the valve or its control circuit (coils/relays) prevents proper opening/closing; check coil continuity, control voltage from the PCB, and ensure the flame extinguishes when closure is commanded.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
