• 01

  The fuse blows again as soon as it's installed, and the boiler shuts down completely again.

  Cause: There is a short circuit within the PCB itself that suddenly consumes all the current from the fuse.

  Disconnect the pump, fan, and gas valve, and test with a new fuse using only the PCB; if it blows again, the fault is in the PCB.

  The pump or the fan keeps running all the time, even though the boiler is not calling for heat.

  Cause: The relay on the PCB that controls that component has stuck and is not cutting off the power.

  Power the component directly, bypassing the PCB, to confirm that it is functioning properly and rule out that the fault is with it.

  A fixed fault code appears on the display that does not disappear when the boiler is reset.

  Cause: The control software detects a value out of range at some point in the installation and locks for safety.

  First check the component indicated by that code before assuming the PCB is at fault.

• 04

  The room thermostat cannot turn the boiler on or off.

  Cause: The PCB is what translates that external command into the actual start-up of the boiler, and if that part fails, the command is lost.

  Check that the thermostat has a battery and that its two wires are properly connected to the terminals on the PCB before replacing it.
