The tap water comes out cold or barely lukewarm, even though the boiler seems to be functioning normally.
Cause: The plates become scaled and stop transferring heat from the primary circuit to the domestic hot water.
Increase the domestic hot water temperature from the panel and check the flow from the tap before assuming it is the heat exchanger.

You notice water or damp spots around the heat exchanger, inside the boiler.
Cause: A damaged gasket or PCB allows water to escape from the circuit, usually due to wear or water hammer.
Clean and dry the area, turn on the boiler, and observe for a few minutes to confirm that the leak is indeed coming from there and not from a nearby fitting.

The radiators heat well, but the hot water from the taps does not increase in temperature.
Cause: The heat exchanger is the one that distributes heat to the domestic hot water; if it is blocked, the heating continues to operate on its own.
Check that the boiler switches to DHW mode when a tap is opened before ruling out the sensor or the 3-way valve as the cause.
