How to check if ref. 39805631 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 39805631. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch 39805631 resolves.
The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not start or gets locked due to a fault in the pressure safety circuit.
Cause: The pressure switch is part of the safety system that checks the flue before ignition; if it does not close, the boiler does not start.
Check that the pressure switch connection tubes are not blocked, bent, or disconnected.
- 02
The pressure switch does not seem to switch even though the extractor has been running for a while.
Cause: With use, the internal contact may wear out and not close even when the necessary pressure is reached.
Check that the extractor is operating at its normal speed; if it spins slowly, the pressure generated may be insufficient.
- 03
It's time to replace it because the boiler has been in use for quite a few years and the ignition starts to fail from time to time.
Cause: It is normal for a mechanical pressure switch to lose accuracy with age and wear of the internal spring.
Before replacing it, check that the fault is not due to flue conditions (wind, obstruction of the flue pipe).
- 04
Lockouts that occur only in some starts, not in all.
Cause: A contact with a fatigued spring may operate irregularly at the set pressure limit.
Note if the fault always occurs when cold; this helps to distinguish the pressure switch from a problem with the fan.
Fault codes for Ferroli that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F4 | Operation of the air pressure switch. | The air pressure switch remains closed when it should open (stuck contact or tubes/venturi improperly connected/blocked). Check with a multimeter that it opens when the fan stops and inspect pressure tubes and air/smoke ducts. |
| F5 | Operation of the air pressure switch. | The pressure switch does not close within the time (~55 s) after activating the fan due to lack of depression/draught or a defective pressure switch. Check closure with a multimeter when starting the fan and inspect the venturi, pressure tubes, and possible obstruction in air/smoke. |
| F6 | Operation of the air pressure switch. | The pressure switch contact remains closed after several start-up attempts, indicating a stuck APS or reversed connection. Measure opening/closing with a multimeter and check the correct connection of the tubes to the pressure switch and the operation of the fan. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
