Water Pressure Switch for Ferroli Domina F24 Boiler - Ref. 39806180
The water pressure switch checks the pressure in the boiler and authorizes its operation. If it fails, the boiler may not start or may lock out, even if the pressure is correct, which can trigger fault code F8: insufficient water pressure in the heating system. This component is compatible with several Ferroli models, including the Domina F24 and others from the Domitop and Domicompact ranges. It is recommended to replace it if you notice that the boiler does not ignite or stops irregularly. The manufacturer reference is 39806180.

How to check if ref. 39806180 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 39806180. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch 39806180 resolves.
The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and the display shows a warning of low water pressure, even though the circuit is full.
Cause: The water pressure switch does not close the contact because it does not detect the actual pressure of the circuit, and the control board blocks the ignition for safety.
Check the pressure gauge of the boiler: if it reads between 1 and 1.5 bar when cold and the warning persists, the problem is with the pressure switch or its wiring, not with the actual pressure.
- 02
The boiler stops by itself during operation, as if it suddenly loses pressure.
Cause: The internal contact of the pressure switch opens intermittently due to wear or dirt, even though the circuit pressure has not dropped.
Note if the cut coincides with pump vibrations or temperature changes; if the pressure gauge does not move at that moment, suspect the pressure switch before bleeding the circuit.
- 03
The pressure switch gets stuck and the boiler tries to start even when the circuit is empty or with low pressure.
Cause: It is a mechanical fault of the pressure switch itself: the contact does not reopen even when the pressure drops below the minimum.
Release some pressure using the bleed valve and check if the boiler continues to show a service signal without alerting; if so, confirm that the fault is in the pressure switch.
- 04
After filling the pressure with the filling key, the boiler still does not show a service signal.
Cause: The pressure switch does not transmit the pressure change to the PCB even though the circuit is already correct.
Check with the manometer that the pressure rises when refilling; if it rises but the warning does not disappear, the pressure switch is not functioning properly.
Fault codes for Ferroli that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F8 | Insufficient water pressure in the heating system. | The water pressure switch (I39806180) does not close due to actual low pressure or mechanical/electrical failure; check pressure on the gauge (≥0.8–1.5 bar), continuity of the pressure switch and its wiring/terminal connections. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
