Pressure switch XP600 - Cointra E-20 I boiler

Pressure switch XP600 - Cointra E-20 I boiler

Stock · 5 units

The XP600 pressure switch is a component of the Cointra E-20 I boiler. Its function is to verify the air or water pressure and authorize the operation of the boiler. When it fails, the boiler does not start or gets locked, even though the actual pressure is correct. This pressure switch is compatible with models from the E-20, M-20, and Supra ranges, among others. It is recommended to replace it when the symptom of the boiler not starting correctly occurs.

Guide

How to check if it is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch resolves

The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler does not start and no other unusual symptoms are observed in the circuit.

Cause: This pressure switch acts as a safety switch: if it does not close the contact, the control unit understands that there is no pressure and prevents the start-up even if everything else is correct.

Check the filling pressure of the circuit with the boiler's manometer. If it is below its operating range, it will never close.

  • 02

The burner does not ignite even though the circulator is working and the pressure seems normal at first glance.

Cause: The operating range of this model is narrow (0.2 to 1.2 bar), so small variations that would go unnoticed in another boiler are enough here to prevent it from switching.

Measure the actual pressure with a manometer at the connection point of the pressure switch, not just at the panel.

  • 03

The fault comes and goes: sometimes it starts and other times it gets stuck.

Cause: A contact that begins to oxidize or lose mechanical firmness switches irregularly depending on vibration or temperature.

Gently tap the body of the pressure switch while the boiler is running and observe if the fault recurs: it is an indication of a faulty contact.

  • 04

The boiler indicates a pressure fault as soon as the main switch is turned on.

Cause: If the contact is welded in the open position, the pressure signal never reaches the PCB correctly, regardless of the actual pressure in the circuit.

Check with the multimeter if the pressure switch toggles when manually varying the pressure before purchasing a new one.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
