Combustion Chamber + Primary Heat Exchanger Vaillant ecoTEC (Giannoni GM30-45-006-13) Ref. GM30-45-006-13
Refurbished combustion chamber assembly with primary condensing heat exchanger for Vaillant ecoTEC boilers. It is a Giannoni GM30-45-006-13; its function is to transfer heat from the burner to the heating circuit and take advantage of the condensation of flue gases. Please check that your part has the same reference on the heat exchanger's PCB.

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
Symptoms and faults that the GM30-45-006-13 combustion chambers solve.
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
Recurrent pressure loss and white stains/rust at the base
Cause: Micro leak in the coil or primary joints
Visual inspection in the chamber; isolate the primary and pressurize; check the condensate siphon for rust drags.
- 02
Boiling noises and popping sounds due to overheating
Cause: Sludge/deposits in the primary circuit with low flow.
Measure ΔT supply/return at power; check filter, pump, and flow; if ΔT>30 K sustained, consider descaling or replacement.
- 03
Unusual odor or high CO/CO₂ values out of range
Cause: Leaks in chamber joints or thermal deformation
Tightness test of the chamber and combustion analysis; replace gaskets and check the burner seating.
- 04
Turbid condensate or with metallic residues
Cause: Internal corrosion or oxide washing
Check the pH and appearance of the drain; inspect the base of the chamber and the supply/return connections.
Fault codes from Vaillant that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.22 | Disconnection due to lack of water or insufficient pressure. | Fill and bleed. If the pressure drops again, rule out leaks in the heat exchanger (micro-leaks to the circuit/condensates). Check the expansion vessel and pressure sensor. |
| F.23 | Excessive temperature difference between supply and return. | Check the pump, filter, and flow rate. A partially obstructed primary can cause a high ΔT and activate F.23. Clean the circuit and consider replacement if the issue persists. |
| F.24 | Temperature increase too rapid. | Insufficient bleeding or poor circulation. If the hydraulics are correct, rule out internal scaling of the heat exchanger. |
| F.75 | No pressure variation is detected when starting the pump. | Check pressure, pump, and sensor. If there is external flow but no pulse, a strong obstruction in the primary circuit may be the cause. |
| F.76 | Overheating protection of the primary heat exchanger is active. | Check the wiring of the thermal fuse, circulation, and the condition of the heat exchanger. Replace the primary if there is damage or internal blockage. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.

- Cut off the gas and electrical supply before intervening.
- Wait for the equipment to cool down; drain and bleed the circuit.
- Always use new gaskets (chamber cover, O-rings for supply/return, electrode seals).
- Apply torque pairs and sequences according to the manufacturer's manual.
- After the replacement, complete bleeding and checking the tightness of the circuit and the chamber.
- Perform combustion analysis and adjust CO₂/parameterization according to the manual before delivery.
- Check the siphon and condensate drain; clean and refill the siphon.
- Check that it is not confused with GM30-45-004-xx (≈24 kW) or GM30-45-008-xx (≈34–36 kW).
