Sime Metropolis / Format ZIP Control Module PCB Ref. 6230630

70 €VAT includedTemporarily out of stock

PCB for Sime boilers from the Metropolis, Format, Climit, and Formel series. The transformer/valve block mounted on it is manufactured by SIT, according to the logo printed next to it; it is not clear if SIT manufactures the entire PCB. The rest of the silkscreen is illegible due to reflections on the surface. It is replaced when the control board fails.

Guide

How to check if ref. 6230630 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Locate the reference printed on the body of the PCB you have installed: it should indicate 6230630.
  2. Check your boiler model on the nameplate and look for it in the list of compatible models on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and the body with the original part before installing.
  4. If you have any doubts, send us a photo of the screen printing via WhatsApp and we'll confirm it for you before you purchase.
Diagnosis

Symptoms and faults resolved by PCB 6230630

The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

The boiler won't start, it's completely dead.

Cause: No voltage output from the PCB to the rest of the system, no component receives the command to operate.

Check that mains voltage is reaching the PCB and that the input fuse is not blown before replacing it.

The gas valve does not open, or it opens and there is no flame, even though the rest of the boiler seems to be working.

Cause: The block that controls the gas valve (this PCB uses SIT mounting) is the one that gives the opening command; if that stage fails, the gas does not reach the burner.

Check that the gas valve receives voltage at the moment of ignition; if it doesn't receive any, the problem is earlier, in the PCB.

The boiler modulates the flame erratically, rising and falling without relation to the heat demand.

Cause: The management of the modulation signal to the gas valve becomes erratic when the control circuit of the PCB is damaged.

First, rule out that the temperature sensor is not dirty or misaligned, as this can also cause irregular modulation.

The boiler locks out with different fault codes, without a clear pattern between one fault and another.

Cause: A damaged trace or a cold solder joint on the PCB causes incorrect readings from multiple sensors simultaneously, resulting in fluctuating errors.

Write down the codes as they appear; if they don't match the same component, it's more likely to be the PCB and not a loose sensor.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.

Before purchasing
  • The SIT logo confirmed on the PCB corresponds to the transformer/gas valve block, not necessarily to the entire board; the manufacturer of the complete PCB could not be determined.
  • Most of the screen printing is illegible due to surface reflections, even with magnification; it has not been possible to read a reference specific to the PCB.
  • Make sure your boiler model is on the list of compatible ones before ordering the part.
Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions about PCB 6230630

Does SIT manufacture the complete PCB for the Sime Metropolis H25 BF?
Not confirmed. The identified SIT logo corresponds only to the transformer/gas valve block mounted on the PCB, it is not confirmed that they manufacture the entire assembly.
Is it possible to read the specific reference of this Sime PCB?
No; the screen printing is illegible due to reflections on the surface, even when enlarging the image.
Is this PCB suitable for a Sime Format ZIP 25 BF TS?
Yes, the Format ZIP 25 BF TS is on the list of boilers compatible with this PCB.
What voltage does the transformer on this Sime PCB have?
230V on the primary, according to the silkscreen.
When should the PCB of the Sime Metropolis H25 BF be replaced?
It is replaced when the boiler's control board fails.
