How to check if ref. MU0500117 is the part for your boiler

Symptoms and faults resolved by the MU0500117 circulating pump
The circulating pump circulates the water in the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
The boiler is working, but the water takes a long time to heat the radiators.
Cause: The impeller is blocked or rotates with difficulty and does not move enough flow.
Touch the pump casing with the boiler running to see if it vibrates or is completely stopped.
When changing the speed on the pump selector, there is no noticeable difference between the two positions.
Cause: One of the two windings of the two-speed motor has stopped working.
Test both positions of the selector with the boiler running and check if the noise or flow changes.
The pump does not start after being idle for a while, for example at the end of summer.
Cause: The shaft has seized due to sediment buildup during inactivity.
Try to manually free the shaft with a screwdriver in the front slot before replacing the pump.
There is a continuous noise or humming in the pump while the boiler is operating.
Cause: Air trapped in the circuit or a worn bearing causes the assembly to vibrate.
Bleed the heating circuit and check if the noise disappears before replacing the part.
Water appears at the base of the motor or dripping under the pump.
Cause: The mechanical seal no longer properly seals the rotating shaft.
Dry the area and check when cold if the moisture reappears right on the pump body.
