  A puddle or water dripping appears under the boiler, especially when it is running.

  Cause: The hydraulic body has a leak in one of its joints and water is coming out from there.

  Locate the exact point of the dripping with the boiler off and then while running: if it comes from a specific joint or fitting, sometimes it is enough to change that joint and not the entire body.

  The heating circuit needs to be filled every few days because it loses pressure.

  Cause: A crack in the hydraulic body is slowly leaking water, even though there is no clear puddle visible.

  Before changing it, check the radiator bleeds and the expansion vessel: a slow pressure loss can also be due to that.

  There are stains of limescale or green algae around the area where the hydraulic body is mounted.

  Cause: The water that comes out from a deteriorated joint of the hydraulic body leaves that white or greenish trace when it dries.

  Clean the area and check again after a day or two of operation to confirm that the stain reappears and is not an old residue.

  The boiler is locking out due to low pressure even though you have just refilled the circuit.

  Cause: If the hydraulic body continuously loses water, the water pressure switch detects the drop and locks the boiler for safety.

  With the boiler off, check if the pressure gauge needle drops on its own over a couple of hours: this way you can distinguish a real leak from a fault in the pressure switch itself.
