The boiler responds to the hot water tap but not to the heating demand, or vice versa.
Cause: Each demand is output through a different port on the PCB; if only one function fails, that specific stage is usually damaged.
Confirm that the fault always occurs in the same function before replacing the entire PCB: sometimes it's the three-way valve or the thermostat, not the PCB.

Cause: Having power does not guarantee that the microprocessor is processing the signals from the sensors; it can freeze with the light on but without activity.
