Actuator Motor for 3-Way Valve - Ref. 61712905 / 00316521000.07
The 3-way valve switches the water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. The actuator motor for the 3-way valve, reference 00316521000.07, is responsible for this process. If it fails, you may notice that there is hot water but no heating, or vice versa, and there may even be a mixing of both circuits. This component is compatible with various boilers, such as those from the Baxi range and others. It is advisable to replace it when you experience these water distribution issues.

Consult via WhatsAppHow to check if the ref. 61712905 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 61712905. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve 61712905 resolves.
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not switch between domestic hot water and heating.
Cause: The actuator motor does not rotate or move the valve shaft.
Remove the motor and manually move the valve shaft: if it turns freely without the motor, the fault is in the actuator and not in the valve.
- 02
Noise or buzzing in the motor of the 3-way valve
Cause: The internal gears are worn out or the motor does not have enough power to complete the rotation.
Listen to see if the buzzing stops after a few seconds or remains constant without the gas valve moving: if it remains, the motor is not transmitting power.
- 03
The valve gets stuck halfway and does not complete the change.
Cause: The motor does not have enough power before reaching the limit and does not activate the limit switch.
With the boiler turned off, gently force the shaft by hand to rule out that it is stuck due to scale before replacing the motor.
- 04
The boiler takes a long time to provide hot water or heating after the demand.
Cause: The motor has lost speed and takes longer to complete the shift.
Time the switching time from one cycle to another; if it is significantly longer than usual, suspect the motor before the control board.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
