With the boiler unplugged, turn the motor by hand and check if it is difficult to start or if it returns to its resting position on its own.

A buzzing sound is heard from the motor straining, but the gas valve does not move.
Cause: the motor spins but the internal plastic gear slips and does not drive the valve shaft
