  The boiler doesn't turn on at all, not even the ignition indicator: it seems dead.

  Cause: If the internal fuse of the PCB blows or fails in its power stage, all the electronics will lose power.

  Before replacing the PCB, check with a multimeter if the fuse on the board is blown; it is a cheap fault that mimics that of a dead board.

  The boiler is working, but the 24V accessories, such as the zone valve or the thermostat, are not receiving power.

  Cause: The transformer that powers that auxiliary circuit is integrated into the PCB, and if it fails, it cuts off power to everything connected to that output.

  Measure with the multimeter if there is voltage at the 24V output of the PCB before declaring it faulty.

  The boiler turns off by itself from time to time and then restarts as if nothing happened, without showing any error.

  Cause: The microcontroller on the PCB can restart itself due to an internal fault, interrupting the cycle without leaving any visible error trace.

  Check that the boiler is not experiencing micro-cuts in the power supply or a faulty ground connection, which produce the same effect without being the fault of the PCB.

  The display shows strange symbols or flickers without displaying any readable value.

  Cause: It is a typical symptom that the microcontroller on the PCB does not properly start its own firmware.

  Try performing a complete power cut for a couple of minutes before replacing the PCB, to rule out a temporary hang.
