There is water dripping or a damp ring right at the base where the pressure gauge screws into the boiler.
Cause: The threaded joint can lose tightness over time due to wear of the gasket or the pressure gauge body itself.
Dry the area well, tighten the fitting carefully, and check after a few minutes if moisture reappears.

The needle does not move no matter what happens, neither when bleeding nor when refilling the system.
Cause: The internal mechanism of the pressure gauge can get stuck over time and stop transmitting the actual pressure to the needle.
Bleed a radiator for a moment and see if the needle reacts; if it doesn't drop at all, the pressure gauge is not functioning properly.

The pressure reading varies greatly from one day to another without you having touched anything in the installation.
Cause: A worn mechanism can give erratic readings even though the actual pressure in the circuit remains stable.
Record the cold pressure for two or three consecutive days; if it varies inconsistently without leaks or bleeding, the pressure gauge is faulty.
