  The needle remains fixed on the dial and does not move even if you bleed or refill the system.

  Cause: The capillary or the internal mechanism of the manometer has become blocked and has lost its range.

  Gently tap the gauge and fill the circuit with the filling key to see if the needle comes loose.

• 02

  Water is leaking from the brass fitting of the capillary tube, even if it's a small amount.

  Cause: The gasket of that fitting has deteriorated with the heat cycles and has lost its sealing.

  Dry the area of the brass fitting and check when cold and with the boiler on if the moisture reappears at the same point.

• 03

  There is no visible pressure on the manometer or the reading does not match what you know about the installation.

  Cause: The mechanism has stopped transmitting the actual pressure, even though the circuit is properly filled.

  Measure the pressure with a portable manometer at another point in the circuit to rule out that the problem is with the installation and not with this part.

• 04

  The needle moves but is slow to respond when you change the pressure.

  Cause: The capillary tube may be partially obstructed, causing a delayed pressure transfer to the diaphragm.

  Open and close the filling valve slightly and time if the needle takes an unusually long time to respond before replacing the part.
