Cause: the pump does not move the water between the boiler and the radiators
Measure the temperature between the supply pipe and the return pipe before declaring the pump faulty.

Cause: the shaft may be seized due to sediment if it has been out of operation for a long time
With the boiler turned off, try to manually turn the shaft through the front cap before replacing it.

There is noise or vibration in the pump area.
Cause: Air trapped in the rotor causes cavitation.
Bleed the air through the front screw of the pump and through the highest radiators before replacing it.

There is a water leak from the pump shaft.
Cause: the mechanical seal has lost its tightness with use
Dry the area and check after a while of operation if the leak reappears right at the shaft.
