Cause: The pump is not moving water between the boiler and the radiators.
Check if the supply pipe is hot and the return pipe is cold: that difference indicates a lack of circulation, and it is advisable to bleed before changing the pump.

A buzzing or vibration is heard in the pump area.
Cause: Air in the rotor or a worn bearing causes that noise.
Bleed the air through the front screw of the pump and through the radiators; if the humming continues, the fault is with the pump.

Water is leaking from the body or the shaft of the pump.
Cause: The mechanical seal no longer seals and allows water to pass through.
Tighten the nearby connection fittings and check if the leak stops; if it continues to leak right from the shaft, it is indeed the pump.

The pump does not start when turning on the heating after being off for a while.
Cause: The shaft has seized due to the sediment accumulated during inactivity.
With the boiler turned off, try to manually free the shaft through the front plug before replacing the pump.
