How to check if the reference BI1181100 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1181100. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve BI1181100 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
It continuously drips from the discharge pipe, both in cold and hot.
Cause: The valve seat is losing tightness, usually due to dirt or small particles trapped.
Manually bleed the valve a couple of times, if it has a lever, to flush out the dirt before replacing it.
- 02
It leaks water as soon as the boiler starts, without the pressure being high.
Cause: The internal spring activates prematurely if it is worn out or if the setting has become misadjusted with use.
Measure with the boiler's manometer at what exact pressure it activates and compare it with the cold filling pressure of the circuit.
- 03
The pressure gauge rises above 3 bar and the valve does not release water.
Cause: The mechanism gets stuck due to scale or lack of use, and does not release even when the set pressure is exceeded.
Before changing it, check if the expansion vessel is air-free, because that causes the pressure to rise faster than normal.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
