3 Bar Safety Valve 1/2" CE-20E Ref. FAG04000220
The 3 Bar Safety Valve 1/2" CE-20E Ref. FAG04000220 is a component that regulates the pressure in the boiler circuit. Its function is to release water if the pressure exceeds 3 bar, thus preventing potential damage to the system. If it fails, you will notice that it drips continuously or does not discharge when necessary. This valve is compatible with models from the FEE, FE, FA, and CE ranges, among others. It is recommended to replace it when it shows leaks or does not function properly.

How to check if ref. FAG04000220 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference FAG04000220. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve FAG04000220 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
Water is leaking from the drain pipe even when the boiler is off and cold.
Cause: The valve seat has lost tightness and allows water to pass without any overpressure.
With the boiler cold, check the pressure on the manometer: if it is the normal operating pressure and it continues to drip, the fault is with the gas valve.
- 02
After tripping due to overpressure, the gas valve does not fully close again.
Cause: The shot can drag lime or a particle to the seat and prevent it from sealing again.
Manually bleed the valve two or three times: if it drags dirt, it may regain closure without the need to replace it.
- 03
Pressure needs to be added to the circuit more frequently than usual.
Cause: A slow drip from the valve goes down the drain and empties the pressure from the circuit without being noticeable at first glance.
Place a container under the drain pipe for a whole day to check if it collects water.
- 04
The pressure rises above normal when the boiler heats and does not decrease on its own.
Cause: If the valve does not release when reaching the set point, the pressure remains trapped in the circuit instead of being relieved.
Before changing the gas valve, check the pre-charge of the expansion vessel with the boiler cold: if it is low, it can also cause pressure spikes.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
