  The valve continuously purges water, whether it drips or not at the beginning.

  Cause: The internal seat does not close properly, either due to wear of the gasket or due to limescale buildup, which allows water to escape even when the pressure is normal.

  First, check the circuit pressure on the manometer: if it is above the usual level, inspect the expansion vessel before replacing the gas valve.

  Jump and bleed with the boiler cold, without anyone having touched anything.

  Cause: The spring or the seat of the gas valve is damaged and opens before reaching the 3 bar setting.

  Check that no filling valves are left open or leaking, as this also increases the pressure in the circuit.

  It can't hold the circuit pressure: it keeps rising and the gas valve doesn't activate.

  Cause: The mechanism has become stuck due to scale or lack of use and does not open when it should.

  If the valve has a manual bleed lever, operate it to see if it gets unstuck; if it doesn't release, do not force it any further.
