3-Way Valve Junkers Cerapur Comfort Ref. 8716106442
The Junkers Cerapur Comfort three-way valve switches the water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. If it malfunctions, you will notice that there is hot water but no heating, or vice versa, and there may even be a mixing of both circuits. This valve is compatible with boilers from the Junkers range, such as Cerapur Comfort, ZWBC25, and ZWN25, among others. It should be replaced when these issues are detected in the supply of hot water or heating.

How to check if the ref. 8716106442 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 8716106442. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve 8716106442 resolves.
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
You have hot water in the shower, but it loses temperature if the heating is turned on at the same time.
Cause: The valve actuator does not prioritize hot water correctly and allows some to flow towards the heating system.
Test with the heating off: if the hot water comes out stable, the fault is in the gas valve.
- 02
The heating does not start even though the thermostat is calling for temperature, and the boiler ignites normally.
Cause: The valve is stuck in the domestic hot water position and does not allow flow to the radiators.
Check if the display indicates heating demand without the radiators heating up.
- 03
Do you notice a forcing motor noise, like a continuous buzzing, at the bottom of the boiler?
Cause: The electric actuator tries to move the valve stem and encounters resistance due to dirt or wear.
Locate whether the noise is coming from the 3-way valve, next to the heat exchanger, and not from the fan.
- 04
Moisture or small droplets appear around the black body of the gas valve, near the electrical connector.
Cause: The internal seals wear out with heat and allow water to escape.
Dry the area, run the boiler in domestic hot water and heating mode, and check if the humidity reappears.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
