  The heating works well but there is no domestic hot water, or vice versa.

  Cause: The Elbi motor has not fully turned to the correct circuit and the water remains in the previous mode.

  Check if the motor moves when requesting domestic hot water: sometimes it is enough to see if it spins completely or stops halfway.

• 02

  The motor gets stuck, makes noise, or doesn't turn at all when switching modes.

  Cause: The wear of the gear or the scale buildup on the shaft can prevent the motor from completing its travel.

  With the boiler unplugged, try to manually move the motor shaft to see if it is seized before considering the part lost.

• 03

  The boiler displays a fault code related to the three-way valve and locks out.

  Cause: If the motor does not confirm its final position, the PCB understands that there is a fault and interrupts the cycle for safety.

  Check the boiler manual for the specific fault code that has been triggered and see if it specifically corresponds to the three-way valve, not another component.

• 04

  The switch between heating and domestic hot water occurs with a significant delay.

  Cause: A motor that runs slower than normal due to internal wear takes longer to complete the commutation.

  Time it a couple of times to see how long it takes to switch modes: if the time is consistently much longer than one or two seconds, it points to a sluggish motor, not the PCB.
