3-Way Valve Actuator Motor for Garda, Parva, and Riva Boilers – Label Code 00316521000.02 / 61712905

Stock · 1 unit

If you notice that you have hot water but no heating, or vice versa, you may need a 3-way valve actuator motor for Garda, Parva, and Riva boilers. This part is responsible for switching the water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. In case of a fault, both circuits may mix, which will affect the performance of your boiler. It is compatible with models such as Micon 24E and Minox 24 E, among others. You should replace it when you experience these operational issues.

Guide

How to check if ref. BI1101102 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1101102. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the BI1101102 three-way valve resolves.

The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

When requesting hot water, the heating continues to operate and the hot water does not arrive properly.

Cause: The motor does not move the valve to the domestic hot water position, and the flow is incorrectly distributed between heating and domestic hot water.

When requesting hot water, observe the valve; if you don't see any movement or hear a click, the problem is likely with the motor.

  • 02

The valve gets stuck halfway and heats a little of everything, without properly providing either domestic hot water or heating.

Cause: A broken internal gear or a worn return spring prevents the actuator from reaching the ends of the valve.

With the boiler disconnected, manually move the lever of the valve, if it has one, and check that it reaches both positions.

  • 03

A clicking or spinning noise is heard when turning on the heating or the domestic hot water.

Cause: The pinion that connects the motor to the gas valve is worn or broken, causing the motor to spin without moving the valve.

Check if the noise of the rotation matches a real movement of the gas valve before replacing the assembly.

  • 04

The boiler takes longer than usual to provide hot water after heating the heating system.

Cause: The motor does not change position with the necessary speed, which delays the supply of domestic hot water over the heating.

Time how long it takes for the hot water to come out in two consecutive attempts to rule out that it is just a one-time delay.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
