3-Way Valve Actuator Motor Biasi Ref. BI1101102

Stock · 5 units

This Biasi three-way valve actuator, reference BI1101102 (40288050.00), switches the water from the boiler between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. If it fails, you will notice that you have hot water but no heating, or vice versa, or there may even be a mixing of both circuits. It is compatible with boilers from the Micon range, such as the Micon 24E model, and from the Minox range, such as the Minox 24 E, among others. It is recommended to replace this part when these symptoms occur, as its malfunction affects comfort in the home.

Guide

How to check if ref. BI1101102 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1101102. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the BI1101102 three-way valve resolves.

The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler does not switch correctly between heating and domestic hot water.

Cause: The Biasi motor is unable to move the internal diverter of the valve to the end of its travel.

Before changing it, check if the motor completes the rotation to the stop; many have a visible position mark on the body.

  • 02

Noise or buzzing in the motor of the 3-way valve when starting the circuit change.

Cause: The motor forces the rotation against a seized shaft, almost always due to limescale deposits inside the body of the valve.

Disassemble the motor and try to turn the shaft by hand; if it is stiff, check the scale first before replacing the part.

  • 03

There is a lack of domestic hot water or heating alternately, while the other function operates normally.

Cause: The diverter gets stuck in an intermediate position and only allows one of the two circuits to flow properly.

Observe in which function it always fails: if it is always the same, it points more to a mechanical limit than to an electrical fault of the motor.

  • 04

The boiler goes through the switching cycle, but it feels slow or jerky.

Cause: It is typical wear of the motor's reduction gear after several seasons of use.

Compare the switching time with that of a few months ago; if it has been gradually worsening, it is an indication of internal wear of the motor.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
