How to check if the part number BI1351116 is the one for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1351116. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve BI1351116 resolves
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
You have hot water at the tap but the heating is not working, or vice versa.
Cause: The body of the three-way valve does not switch correctly between the domestic hot water circuit and the heating circuit, so the water only goes to one of the two.
Before changing the body, check if the motor or head of the gas valve moves physically when requesting domestic hot water; if it does not move, the problem may be with the motor and not with the hydraulic body.
- 02
You notice a drip or water leak right in the area of the three-way valve.
Cause: The internal seals of the hydraulic body have worn out or the body has a crack, and water is leaking out instead of following the circuit.
Locate the exact point of the leak with the cold boiler: if it comes from a visible joint, sometimes it is enough to check it or replace it before replacing the entire body.
- 03
The domestic hot water takes a long time or comes out mixed with warm heating water.
Cause: The valve does not fully close one circuit while opening the other, and the water mixes between domestic hot water and heating.
Make sure that it is not a problem with the domestic hot water priority misconfigured in the boiler before assuming that it is the gas valve.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
