Common symptoms and faults

The hot water comes out lukewarm or mixed, as if something from the heating circuit is entering.
Cause: The actuator does not fully close the flow to the heating system, resulting in an internal leak between the two circuits.
With the boiler in domestic hot water mode, touch the supply pipe to the radiators; if it is hot as well, that side is not closing properly.

The actuator buzzes but does not move, or it moves much slower than before.
Cause: The motor is losing power or the reduction gear is worn out and is unable to move the rod with the necessary torque.
Remove the actuator from the valve without disassembling the valve and check if it turns freely when powered outside the boiler.

The boiler remains fixed in one mode and does not change even when the other service is requested.
Cause: The actuator has stopped in one position and does not execute the switching command from the control unit.
Check if the actuator receives power when requesting the mode change; if it does receive power and does not turn, the fault is mechanical and not electrical.

A dry knock is noticeable in the gas valve when starting or stopping the boiler.
Cause: The return spring or stop of the actuator is broken and the rod falls abruptly instead of moving guided.
Check if the knock occurs at the same point in the cycle; it indicates that the movement is not completing smoothly.
