  There is noise in the valve motor when switching.

  Cause: The gear or motor coupling is worn out and does not transmit the rotation smoothly.

  Locate if the noise is coming from the motor or the gas valve itself by touching each part separately with the boiler turned off.

  The valve gets stuck in one position and does not respond to mode changes.

  Cause: The internal mechanism has seized up, which is common if the boiler has gone months without using the heating.
