  Cause: The diverter moves between positions instead of staying fixed, intermittently mixing water from both circuits.

  Open and close the tap several times in a row and check if the problem is constant or only occurs at the beginning; this helps to determine if it is a mechanical fault or something temporary.

  A noise or banging is heard when switching between heating and domestic hot water.

  Cause: It could be a worn internal spring or disc that does not seat properly at the end of the valve's travel.
