3-Way Valve - Capriz, Compact, and Vizo
The 3-way valve - Capriz, Compact, and Vizo is a component that allows the switching of water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. If this valve fails, you will notice that there is hot water but no heating, or vice versa, and there may even be a mixing of both circuits. This valve is compatible with models such as HKB 224 and HKB 224 C, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms occur to restore the proper functioning of your boiler.

How to check if ref. 3003200017 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 3003200017. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve 3003200017 resolves.
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler only heats or only produces domestic hot water, and it does not switch to the other mode when it should.
Cause: The valve is stuck in one position and does not switch between the two circuits.
Listen for a click or hum from the gas valve moving when requesting hot water; if there is no sound, it is not receiving a command or is stuck.
- 02
The water comes out lukewarm instead of hot, as if the two circuits are mixing.
Cause: The internal shutter does not close completely on one side and allows some water to pass from the other circuit.
Compare the temperature in heating and in domestic hot water separately; if both are affected at the same time, suspect the valve before the boiler.
- 03
There is a puddle or dripping under the boiler, near the gas valve.
Cause: The brass body or the seals of the gas valve have lost tightness over time.
Dry the area thoroughly, turn on the boiler, and locate the exact point of the leak before disassembling anything; it might be coming from a nearby fitting.
- 04
A loud thud or 'clack' is heard every time the boiler changes mode.
Cause: The internal mechanism is worn out or loose and hits at the end of its travel.
Note if the noise occurs always when switching between domestic hot water and heating, or also at other times; this helps to rule out a water hammer in the system.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
