Guide

How to check if ref. 87167724000 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 87167724000. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the flow meter 87167724000 resolves.

The flow meter detects the passage of water to activate the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

You open the hot water tap and the boiler does not ignite the burner, although everything else works fine.

Cause: The flow detector does not send the signal to the PCB to ignite the burner.

Open the tap fully and check if it ignites with a higher flow rate: if it only fails with low pressure, suspect a dirty filter first.

  • 02

The domestic hot water comes in bursts, turning on and off by itself while you use the tap.

Cause: The internal turbine is dirty or scaled, which causes an irregular water flow signal.

Close and open the tap several times in a row; if the ignition is erratic, first check if there is a dirty inlet filter.

  • 03

The 3-pin electrical connector is loose, broken, or has corroded pins.

Cause: Without the electrical signal, the boiler does not receive information even though the water circulates well.

Before replacing the part, disconnect and reconnect the white terminal and check that the pins are not bent or corroded.

  • 04

The domestic hot water flow in the house is normal, but the boiler still does not detect demand.

Cause: If the detector is jammed, it does not sense the movement of water even if the flow rate is correct.

Check the general pressure of the installation on the pressure gauge: with low pressure, the actual flow may not be sufficient to activate the detector.

Fault codes from Junkers that this part resolves.

CodeFaultDiagnosis and solution
CATurbine revolutions too high. The DHW turbine/flow meter (flow sensor) sends pulses at an abnormal frequency due to a fault in the sensor itself, dirt/breakage of the magnet, or wiring issues; verify by reading the pulse signal from the flow meter and checking the condition/cleanliness of the turbine.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
