Guide

How to check if ref. 8717002132 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 8717002132. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the flow meter 8717002132 resolves.

The flow meter detects the passage of water to activate the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

You turn on the hot water tap and the boiler does nothing, it doesn't even try to ignite.

Cause: If the turbine does not spin or does not send a signal, the boiler understands that there is no demand for water and does not command the ignition.

Try opening several taps at the same time to force more flow; if it still doesn't start, check the inlet filter before replacing the sensor.

  • 02

A warning or blockage of low flow appears on the boiler display.

Cause: This sensor informs the PCB that water is circulating; if its signal fails, the PCB assumes there is no flow.

Check that the connector of the sensor is free of moisture and that there are no loose terminals before considering the fault resolved.

  • 03

The hot water comes out intermittently, as if the boiler is hesitating between turning on and off.

Cause: A turbine with scale or with a stiff shaft does not rotate continuously and generates a choppy signal.

Check if the problem improves with higher mains pressure (for example, with a single tap open and fully on) before replacing the part.

  • 04

The boiler works well for heating but fails only when requesting domestic hot water.

Cause: This sensor only operates in the domestic hot water circuit, which is why its failure does not affect the heating.

Confirm that the fault occurs only when opening the hot water tap and not in heating mode, to narrow down the diagnosis.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
