Junkers Euromaxx ZWC24/28 Boiler Extractor Fan. Ref. 8716772508

Stock · 1 unit

When you open the hot water tap, the extractor fan of the Junkers Euromaxx ZWC24/28 boiler activates to expel the combustion gases and allow the boiler to operate correctly. If this part fails, you will notice that the boiler does not ignite or locks out, potentially displaying fault codes such as C7, C6, CA, or C1. This fan is compatible with the ZWC 24/28-1MFA and ZWC 28/32-1MFA models from the Junkers Euromaxx range. It should be replaced when it shows faults in its operation, affecting the smoke evacuation.

Guide

How to check if the ref. 8716772508 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 8716772508. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the extractor 8716772508 resolves.

The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The impeller does not spin or spins very slowly and unevenly.

Cause: The shaft can seize due to dust or oxidation in the bearing, and the motor does not have the strength to overcome that resistance.

Try turning the impeller by hand with the boiler disconnected; if it is stiff or does not turn, the problem is confirmed in the extractor.

  • 02

A loud rubbing or vibrating noise is heard when starting the burner.

Cause: The impeller can rub against the volute if it is misaligned or dirty with accumulated dust and soot.

Check if the noise changes in intensity when varying the power of the boiler; if it goes up and down with the flame, it comes from the extractor.

  • 03

The boiler does not ignite and directly locks out, without attempting ignition.

Cause: If the extractor does not spin, the air pressure switch never closes the contact and the control board does not authorize the opening of the gas.

Check if you can hear or notice the start of the fan when the power is turned on; if there is no movement, the part is not functioning.

Fault codes from Junkers that this part resolves.

CodeFaultDiagnosis and solution
C7No fan speed signal. The fan/extractor does not deliver the tachometer signal to the Heatronic (motor/rpm sensor or wiring). Check by measuring the speed signal at the fan connector and the power supply/continuity.
C6The pressure switch does not close. If the fan does not start or does not generate sufficient depression, the differential pressure switch does not close and the boiler locks out. Check that the fan rotates and reaches rpm and measure the depression at the pressure switch ports with a U-tube manometer.
CATurbine revolutions too high. The fan operates above the allowed range (fault of the motor itself/rpm control) and the Heatronic detects overspeed. Verify the tachometer signal and the control–rpm correlation according to service values.
C1The pressure switch has activated during operation.Flow drop or intermittent fan stoppage causes the pressure switch to open during operation. Check the fan's consumption and rpm under load and rule out obstructions/friction in the extractor group–chimney.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
