  Cause: If the gas valve does not open, no gas enters the burner and ignition does not occur.

  Check if another gas appliance in the house is working properly to rule out a supply cut before inspecting the gas valve.

  The boiler starts up well but turns off by itself during operation.

  Cause: An intermittent fault in the coil or a poor connection in the connector can interrupt the gas flow while the boiler is running.

  Check that the electrical connectors of the gas valve are properly tightened and free of rust; a loose connection can cause symptoms similar to those of a faulty valve.

  There is a smell of gas near the gas valve.

  Cause: This can happen if the internal shutter does not seal properly and causes a small constant leak.

  With the boiler turned off, apply soapy water to the inlet and outlet connections of the gas valve to identify the exact point of the leak.

  The display shows a flame fault or error after attempting to ignite it.

  Cause: The control board does not receive confirmation that gas is flowing and the flame is stable, and it locks out for safety.

  First, check the ignition electrode and the spark transformer; a weak spark can cause the same fault as a gas valve that does not open.
