When you turn on the hot water tap or activate the heating, the Chaffoteaux Celtic RSc G PCB controls the ignition, burner modulation, pump, and safety features of the boiler. If it fails, you will notice that the boiler does not start, locks out, or behaves erratically, potentially displaying faults such as 3 03, 3 05, 3 06, 3 07, or 40-50-60-70-80. This part is compatible with models like the CELTIC 2.24 RSc and the CELTIC RSc series, among others. It should be replaced when it shows faults in its operation, affecting the performance of the boiler.

Guide

How to check if the part number 60045263 is the one for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 60045263. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the PCB 60045263 resolves.

The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler is completely dead: no lights, no display, no sign of life.

Cause: The PCB distributes power to the other components; if it fails, nothing in the system starts.

Measure with a multimeter that current is reaching the PCB and check the fuse before declaring it faulty.

  • 02

It turns on, tries to start, and shuts off by itself after a few seconds, without displaying any clear fault code.

Cause: The ignition management electronics will cut the sequence if it detects an internal problem, even if the other components are functioning properly.

Note whether it occurs consistently or intermittently; an intermittent fault usually indicates a poor connection rather than an issue with the PCB.

  • 03

The room thermostat is unable to start the boiler, although it seems to be on.

Cause: It is the PCB that receives and interprets the signal from the thermostat at terminals T/TA and gives the ignition command.

Check that the wiring in those terminals is properly tightened and that the thermostat is receiving power before replacing the PCB.

  • 04

The circulation pump continues to operate even when the boiler is completely off.

Cause: The relay on the PCB that controls the pump can get stuck and keep it powered continuously.

Disconnect the boiler from the power supply for a couple of minutes and check if the pump stops; if it continues running, the relay is stuck.

Fault codes Chaffoteaux that this part resolves

CodeFaultDiagnosis and solution
3 03Main PCB faultInternal fault of the main PCB; the equipment reports it as "Main board error". Check 230 V input, 5/12 V voltages on the board, and fuses in the MC/CF fuse holder; if they are correct, replace the PCB ref. 60045263.
3 05Main PCB faultInternal fault of the main PCB preventing correct control. Check the power supply and logical outputs of the board and fuses; if everything is correct, the repair involves replacing the PCB ref. 60045263.
3 06Main PCB faultInternal anomaly in the main PCB. Check service voltages (5/12 V), continuity of fuses and connectors; if there are no external anomalies, replace the PCB ref. 60045263.
3 07Main PCB faultMain PCB fault detected by self-diagnosis. Confirm that the power supply and outputs of the board are correct and that the fuses in the fuse holder are not open; if everything is fine, replace the PCB ref. 60045263.
40-50-60-70-80Communication error PCB boilerCommunication fault with the power PCB; it is usually the PCB itself (ref. 60045263) or its bus. Check the harness and connectors between the interface and PCB, and the 5/12 V voltages; if they are correct, replace the PCB.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
