Symptoms and faults that the PCB (control board) resolves
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler shows no signs: no lights, no display, as if it has no power.
Cause: The PCB is not supplying voltage to the installation because the main relay is not closing or it is not receiving power.
Measure with the multimeter that 230V is entering the PCB before declaring it dead; sometimes the problem comes from outside.

A fault code appears on the display and the boiler stops.
Cause: The electronics cut the cycle upon detecting an anomaly, although the source may be in a sensor that reports to the PCB and not in the PCB itself.
Note the exact code and consult the manual of the RPA 30 before changing the PCB, it may point to another component.
- 03
You request heat from the thermostat and the boiler does not respond.
Cause: The PCB is not reading or processing the demand signal coming from outside.
Bridge the demand terminals directly on the PCB to see if it starts without the thermostat in between.

The boiler turns on and off by itself intermittently, without a fixed pattern.
Cause: A loose solder joint or a worn relay in the circuit causes intermittent power cuts.
With the boiler on, gently touch the PCB to see if the cut matches the rubbing; it is a sign of cold soldering.
