  Cause: The mechanism seizes over time or due to internal dirt, especially if the boiler has been unused for a long time.

  Gently tap the glass while bleeding the circuit; if it still doesn't move with the circuit clearly filled, replace it.

  The sphere is scratched or cloudy, and the scale is not clearly visible.

  Cause: The front glass or plastic gets scratched from mounting impacts or fogs up due to moisture inside the body.

  Check if the fogging disappears when the area dries; if it persists or there are cracks, the body of the pressure gauge is damaged, not just the surface.

  Water is leaking from the pressure gauge connection to the circuit.

  Cause: The gasket or the thread of the connection deteriorates over time, and water leaks from there, not from the pressure gauge mechanism.

  Tighten the connection with a wrench and check if the leak stops; if it continues to drip after tightening, it's the gasket and there's no need to replace the entire pressure gauge.
