  Check if the motor spins when requesting domestic hot water: if nothing moves, first check the power supply to the motor.

  There is hot water at the tap but the radiators are not heating, or vice versa.

  Cause: The valve has become stuck in one of the two positions and does not switch to the other circuit.

  Note in which service the boiler remains fixed; if it is always the same, help to narrow it down to whether it is the motor or the gas valve.

  There is moisture or dripping in the area where the 3-way valve is installed.

  Cause: A gasket or the body of the valve has lost tightness, which is different from a motor fault.

  Dry the area and check if the leak reappears with the boiler running before requesting the motor: it could just be a gasket.

  The motor makes noise or struggles when trying to move the gas valve, but it does not turn.

  Cause: The motor is forcing against a jammed mechanism, usually due to limescale or dirt accumulated in the body of the gas valve.

  Try to move the mechanism by hand, if the model allows it, to distinguish a mechanical blockage from an electrical fault of the motor.
