Expansion Vessel Boiler Isofast F 30 E - Ref. S10252
The expansion vessel for the Isofast F 30 E boiler - Ref. S10252, from the brand Saunier Duval, is a component that absorbs the increase in water volume when heated. When this part fails, you may notice that the boiler pressure rises and falls sharply, and the safety valve may leak. This expansion vessel is compatible with models such as Isofast F 30 E H MOD and Isofast F 30 EA, among others. It is advisable to replace it if you observe these symptoms to maintain proper operation of your boiler.

How to check if ref. S10252 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference S10252. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the expansion vessel S10252 resolves.
The expansion vessel absorbs the expansion of water when heated. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
You have to recharge the pressure in the boiler frequently, even if you don't see any leaks.
Cause: The expansion vessel has lost its gas charge or the diaphragm is deteriorated, so it no longer holds the circuit pressure and it gradually decreases.
Check for visible leaks in bleed valves, safety group, or radiators: if the circuit is free of leaks and still loses pressure, the expansion vessel is the main suspect.
- 02
Water is coming out of the safety valve discharge pipe when the heating is running.
Cause: Without the expansion vessel, the water that expands with heat has no place to go, and the pressure rises to the point where the valve triggers.
Check the cold fill pressure of the circuit: if it is well above 1-1.5 bar, the problem may be overfilling and not the expansion vessel.
- 03
The expansion vessel sounds full of water, not hollow, when you tap it with your hand.
Cause: With the diaphragm broken or without gas, the expansion vessel loses air inside and fills with water like an additional section of piping.
With the system depressurized, tap the expansion vessel from the outside: a dull, solid sound without echo indicates that it is full of water.
- 04
It is noticeable that the pressure rises significantly as soon as the heating starts.
Cause: A vessel without absorption capacity directly transfers any increase in the volume of hot water to the pressure gauge.
Compare the cold pressure with the pressure after 10-15 minutes of operation; a sudden and sustained increase points to the expansion vessel.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
