Low Pressure Expansion Vessel - Compatible with Laura 20 and Victoria 20/20
In the Laura and Victoria boilers, the low-pressure expansion vessel is a component that absorbs the increase in water volume when heated. If this part fails, you will notice that the pressure of your boiler fluctuates sharply, and the safety valve may leak. This expansion vessel is compatible with models such as Laura 20 and Victoria 20/20, among others. It is advisable to replace it when these symptoms occur to avoid larger issues.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the expansion vessel resolves
The expansion vessel absorbs the expansion of water when heated. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The pressure is gradually dropping, and you have to refill the circuit more often than usual.
Cause: The expansion tank does not adequately compensate for the volume variations of the water, which requires refilling to maintain the minimum pressure.
Check for visible leaks in radiators, automatic air vents, or the safety group; if you don't see any and the pressure continues to drop, the tank may be the issue.
- 02
There are loud thumping noises in the pipes when the heating pump starts or stops.
Cause: Without the air cushion in the tank to absorb the pressure change, the water hammer is transmitted throughout the entire system.
Check if the tank feels cold to the touch like the rest of the piping or if, on the contrary, it feels heavy and does not give at all when pressed.
- 03
Water is continuously leaking from the discharge pipe of the safety valve, not just when the boiler is hot.
Cause: If the tank does not absorb the expansion of the water, the pressure rises above the limit of the gas valve and it drains to protect the system.
Before changing the tank, check that the safety valve does not have a worn gasket, as it can also leak on its own.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
