Fime GR00715P Smoke Extractor for Ariston Microgenus 23 MFFI - Ref. 999397
Flue gas extractor for Ariston boilers from the 23 MFFI/MCSI range (Microgenus, Microtec, Mini, Modula, T2, and TX). Manufactured by Fime, model GR00715P according to the marking on the part itself, confirmed by external sources along with its power of 35 W. Reference 999397 also corresponds to a Chaffoteaux spare part. It is replaced when the extractor does not start, makes excessive noise, or the boiler locks due to a flue gas extraction fault.

How to check if ref. 999397 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 999397. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor 999397 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The fan struggles to start or takes a few seconds to reach speed.
Cause: The motor loses starting power due to internal wear or a bearing that offers more resistance than normal.
With the boiler turned off, manually turn the shaft; if you notice a hard spot when you start to move it, it's a clear indication.
- 02
There is a vibration or excessive noise coming from the fan when it operates.
Cause: The impeller unbalanced by dirt or a worn bearing causes the assembly to vibrate.
Carefully clean the impeller if you see dust or grease buildup; sometimes that's all it takes.
- 03
The boiler locks out or does not ignite, indicating a combustion gas extraction fault.
Cause: The air pressure switch does not detect the minimum depression because the fan does not reach the necessary speed.
Check that the connection tube between the fan and the pressure switch is properly fitted, without cracks or disconnections.
- 04
The fan has been inactive for a long time, for example after the summer without using the heating, and now it won't start.
Cause: The motor gets stuck due to moisture or dust accumulated on the shaft during inactivity.
Try to manually turn the impeller with the boiler unplugged; if it's stiff or doesn't turn, confirm the seizing before replacing the part.
Fault codes for Ariston that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| A 41 | Fan fault | The flue gas extractor does not start or is not detected by the electronics (no rotation or no signal), causing the boiler to lock out. Check for 230 V supply at the connector, continuity and free rotation of the fan, and that the air pressure switch closes upon start-up. |
| E 23 | Low fan speed | The extractor is rotating below the expected threshold and is not generating sufficient flow/velocity, causing a safety shutdown. Check the fan's rpm/signal, consumption, and mechanical friction, and confirm that it reaches the nominal speed and activates the pressure switch. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
