Ebm-papst Extractor Fan for Biasi Myto Condens 24 Boiler
If your boiler does not ignite or gets blocked due to a flue gas evacuation fault, you may need the ebm-papst extractor fan for Biasi / Baxi Roca Myto Condens 24. This part is responsible for evacuating combustion gases and creating the necessary draft for the boiler to start. When it fails, you may see the fault codes Er 05 or 05E on the remote control. It is compatible with the Myto Condens Plus 24 and Myto (Inox) Condens 24 models, among others. It is recommended to replace it when it shows faults or does not function properly.

How to check if the part number BI1503109 is the one for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1503109. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor BI1503109 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and gets locked with the extractor stopped or not turning.
Cause: If the extractor does not spin, the air pressure switch does not close the contact, and the control board does not allow the gas to flow.
Unplug the boiler and check that the turbine spins freely when pushed with your finger; if it is stuck, confirm the mechanical fault before purchasing.
- 02
The fan makes noise or vibrates while running, a buzzing sound that is noticeable throughout the boiler.
Cause: The noise during operation usually indicates a faulty bearing rather than a sudden electrical failure.
Check if the noise is constant or only occurs when starting and stopping: if it is only heard when starting, it may be dirt rather than a worn bearing.
- 03
The extractor does not spin or spins intermittently, starting and stopping for no apparent reason.
Cause: This may be caused by a loose connection in the connector, moisture in the winding, or a bearing that intermittently seizes up.
Check the connector and the wiring up to the extractor for moisture, oxidation, or loose wires before replacing the entire part.
- 04
The boiler turns on but locks out after a few minutes, coinciding with the extractor running.
Cause: If the extractor loses revolutions while in operation, the pressure switch stops detecting the correct extraction and the control board cuts off the supply for safety reasons.
Make sure that the flue duct is not obstructed, which would force the extractor to work harder than normal.
Fault codes for Biasi that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| Er 05 | Fan control anomaly. | The extractor does not start or does not deliver the tachometer signal to the PCB, which does not detect speed and locks with Er 05. Check in chimney sweep mode: verify 230 V at the fan connector and that speed appears in INFO (d9); if there is no rotation/signal, the fan BI1503109 is defective. |
| 05E | Fan control anomaly (code on remote control). | Same fault as Er 05 but displayed by the remote: the fan does not rotate or does not return an rpm signal to the PCB. Check power supply to the fan and the tachometer signal (pins OUT/5V/GND) or rpm reading in INFO; if it fails, replace the fan BI1503109. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
