Flow Detector for Boiler FE24TC1N and Related Models
The flow detector for boiler FE24TC1N and related models is a flow switch that detects the flow of water when a tap is opened, thus activating the ignition to generate domestic hot water (DHW). When this part fails, you will notice that hot water does not come out even when the tap is open. This detector is compatible with several models, such as FE24NOX1B, FE24TC1B, and FE26TC1N, among others. It is recommended to replace it when you experience issues with the hot water supply.

Can't see your model or have questions? The printed reference takes precedence. How to check it · Send us a photo via WhatsApp.
How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the flow meter resolves
The flow meter detects the passage of water to activate the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler is not providing hot water: you open the tap and nothing happens, as if it doesn't detect it.
Cause: If the flow detector does not close the contact, the control unit never receives the command to turn on the burner for domestic hot water.
First, confirm that there is a normal flow from the tap; if the flow is very low due to another cause, the detector may not activate.
- 02
The hot water cuts off by itself a few seconds after being turned on, even though the tap remains open.
Cause: A contact that doesn't close properly causes the control unit to 'lose' the flow signal in the middle of the service.
Check if the shutdown coincides with pressure variations in the network, for example when flushing the toilet or using the washing machine simultaneously.
- 03
In the micro switch block of the part, there is noticeable play or it doesn't 'click' when operated manually.
Cause: The internal microswitch wears out with usage cycles and stops closing the contact reliably.
With the boiler turned off, manually operate the paddle and check if you can feel or hear the click of the microswitch when moving it.
- 04
The boiler works well for heating but fails only when domestic hot water is requested.
Cause: The flow detector only operates in the domestic hot water circuit, so a fault in it does not affect the heating.
Confirm that the fault only occurs with domestic hot water and not with heating, to rule out other causes before replacing the sensor.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
